This position performs trail maintenance repairs, and construction of park trails. The incumbent works primarily on front country trails throughout the park. This position may assist journeyman level tradesmen to complete park projects. Oversees the construction, improvements and day-to-day maintenance of the lakeshore's trail system consisting of 80 miles of hiking and 22 miles of ski trail, walkways, boardwalk, puncheon, turnpike, footbridges and associated inventory and structures.
This temporary position is located in the Gettysburg National Military Park's Maintenance Division under the Landscape Preservation Branch which maintains and preserves the cultural landscapes of Gettysburg National Military Park and Eisenhower National Historic Site.
