About the Position: This position is located in Education Department at Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC). The work involves coordinating and instructing a training program designed to provide emergency skills to all medical personnel assigned to MAMC. The incumbent requires making decisions concerning the coordination of the program and instruction methods.
The technician works in the Vascular Lab, operating diagnostic medical equipment such as exercise stress test systems (treadmills) in the Nuclear Medicine Department under a Cardiologist's supervision, the MUSE Cardiology Storage System, ambulatory blood pressure studies, cardiac arrhythmia monitoring and scanning (Event & Holter monitors), Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) vascular analyzers for arterial disease (resting and exercise), and 12- lead ECG heart tracings.
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.

They will institute improved auditing to ensure safe and effective use of drugs and manage requests for oncology medications. They will work collaboratively with the Formulary Program Manager, Pharmacoeconomics Program Manager, and Pharmacy Procurement Technicians to develop and ensure adherence to VA formulary guidelines and contain drug costs.
