The Supervisory Dietitian (Clinical Nutrition) position is located at the W.G. "Bill" Hefner Salisbury VA Medical Center; Salisbury, NC. Employees in this Supervisory Dietitian (Clinical Nutrition) assignment oversee the clinical nutrition section of NFS providing administrative and technical supervision over staff at the GS11 level and below and may supervise advanced practice and/or program coordinator dietitian(s).
The Clinical Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) at the VA Finger Lakes Healthcare System is certified, highly specialized, and provides administrative, clerical, and clinical support to the clinical pharmacy section of the Pharmacy Service. The functions of the Clinical Pharmacy Technician include retrieving and monitoring laboratory values, medical chart/action profile reviews, telephone logistical support, communicating with MSAs for scheduling, and documentation in the electronic medical record.
The position serves as a Patient Advocate within a VA Medical Facility (e.g., VAMC, CBOC, OPC, etc.). This position covers a variety of difficult and/or complex patient concerns, issues, and contacts for the Facility with the goal of providing resolution. The Patient Advocate works exclusively in the Patient Advocate Tracking System (PATS). The position also provides coverage for fellow Patient Advocates and may be called upon to serve as the Acting Patient Advocate Supervisor.
A Polysomnographic Technician (Sleep Tech) works under the general supervision of a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) and the clinical director (M.D., D.O., or PhD) or designee to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, or patient care and education.
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet eligibility requirements by VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants are ineligible apply.
