The incumbent serves as an Advanced Medical Support Assistant in the Primary Care Medicine service line at the Lyle C Pearson CBOC in Mankato, MN under the Minneapolis VA Health Care System. May also be requested to cover at its sister clinic in St. James, MN.
Incumbent performs as a Medical Support Assistant (MSA) within the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center (FHCC) in the Ward Administration division of the Health Administration Department, with duties and responsibilities in the inpatient wards of the medical treatment facility. The incumbent admits and/or discharges VA and Department of Defense (DOD) patients into/out of the hospital wards and facilitates inpatient care during length of stay.
Ideal candidates will have experience coordinating disaster recovery programs, applying emergency management policies and procedures, and working with Federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, nonprofit, and private-sector partners to support disaster survivors and impacted communities. They should be skilled in analyzing complex recovery issues, preparing clear written products and briefings, and advising leadership on program delivery, resource requirements, and operational improvements.
The Chief Nurse-Ambulatory Care provides senior leadership and oversight for daily clinical and administrative operations within nursing as directed by the Associate Director for Patient Care Services (ADPCS.) They are a key member of the nursing executive leadership team and are responsible for all aspects of care that fall under the operations service line, providing administrative oversight and direction in the programs within the service.
This position is located at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center. The Medical Support Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of technical support duties that facilitate the work of physicians, nurses and other members of the medical facility who provide direct patient care.
These positions are located in the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA), Office of Grants and Financial Management (OGFM), Awards Management Division in Kansas City, MO. In this position, you will participate with the Director in determining program goals, participate in the program planning process, and provide professional advice to program managers on the legal, financial, and regulatory aspects of support for extramural programs.
