Serves as a Supervisory Store Associate in a commissary store at a Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) facility. The primary purpose of this position is perform as a first line supervisor for Store Associates. Specific assignments vary by individual store and store management requirements.
This Supervisory Store Associate serves in a developmental capacity as the first line supervisor and manager of the Front-End Department of a Commissary store. They are responsible for all aspects of planning, scheduling, coordinating and controlling front end activities and personnel, and controlling all funds received and deposited daily as part of the front-end department operations. Specific assignments vary by individual store and store management requirements.
Store Associates work either independently or as part of a team in any assigned retail area of a commissary store within the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) system, performing a variety of duties including handling, preparing, and stocking grocery and produce items, and checking-out customer purchases. This position is for the Medical Supply Distribution (MSD) areas of the Logistics Service within the Veteran Affairs Health Care System (VA HCS), Charlotte VA Healthcare Center (CLT HCC) and supported catchment area.
