The successful candidate will ensure compliance with internal controls, audits, policies, and regulations affecting financial processes, and performs financial and accounting activities for the court unit. Outside the unit, the Budget Manager is the liaison with other administrative staff, budgetary personnel from other court units, and the Administrative Office of the U.S Courts. The Budget Manager is a first-line supervisor over the budget and procurement employees.
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the FSWB - Maxwell & Gunter Bowling Facilities. The primary function of the position is to provide support duties for the FSS Food and Beverage Operation.
Performs one or more of the following duties: Uses heavy power mowers, adjusts blades, and cleans and oils mowers; cuts trees, using ax or chain saw. Digs ditches and trenches with pick and shovel where dirt is hard and compact and does grading and sloping. Occasionally and for short periods of time, breaks up pavement with jackhammer, mixes and pours concrete, asphalt, and hot mix, fills and levels holes in damaged roads. Performs other related duties as required.
