Job Summary

The incumbent will support the preparation of the U.S House of Representatives annual financial statements for both internal and external users by collecting, analyzing, and validating financial data.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required or a Degree in Finance with a CPA or CGFM. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the following: Accounting and automated accounting experience. Working with PeopleSoft or other automated financial systems. Experience with Broad knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB) regulations, including OMB Circulars and Treasury’s USSGL. Preparing federal financial statements in accordance with OMB A-136 reporting guidelines. Experience in IPAC and G-invoicing processing. Knowledge of laws and regulations governing the House. Must be able to secure and maintain Federal Government security clearances as deemed appropriate by senior management. Preferred Qualifications CPA or CGFM candidate preferred. Continued employment is contingent upon satisfactorily completing a criminal history records check (or other applicable security clearance) and a pre-employment drug-test (pre-identified position only).
