Job Summary
This position is located in the Payroll and Benefits Department, Office of Finance, Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), U.S. House of Representatives (House). The purpose of the Office of Finance is to provide financial management services to Leadership, Members, Committees, Officers, and Offices of the House.
Job Description
Minimum Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience serving as a management analyst, program analyst, or financial analyst for a federal agency and/or corporation. • 3+ years of experience working in accounting, payroll, and/or benefits. Knowledge of payroll processing from calculating payments to balancing taxes/deductions. • Experience with HRMS, HRIS, or payroll software systems Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics preferred; specialized experience can be substituted. • Relevant certifications such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or comparable professional certification preferred. Continued employment is contingent upon satisfactorily completing a criminal history records check (or other applicable security clearance) and a pre-employment drug-test (pre-identified position only).
