This National Guard position is for a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY), Position Description Number PDD3026000 and is part of the WY Joint Force Headquarters ANG, Wyoming Air National Guard. This is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is required.

Job Description

AREAS OF CONSIDERATION: The consideration of qualified eligible candidates will be as follows: Area 1: Permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) WY ANG employees assigned to the JFHQ-ANG. Area 2: Permanent and indefinite Wyoming Air National Guard (ANG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming Air National Guard. Area 4: Current military members of the Wyoming Air National Guard. Area 6: Current military service members to include the US Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and other states' Air National Guard units. Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Air National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position. Situational teleworking may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Acceptance of this position does not in any way constitute a military promotion. EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university is mandatory. A graduate degree from an accredited civilian academic college or from an equivalent professional military education school is optimum. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess at least one year of specialized experiences at the GS-11 level or the equivalent in personnel and manpower core competencies: Organization Structure, Requirement Determination, Program Allocation and Control, and/or Performance Improvement; and specialized knowledge of all applicable merit principles and practices related to federal civilian, military, and National Guard technician personnel programs. Specialized experience factors encompass human resources program's business competencies, familiarity with the subject matter or processes used in human resources programs associated with DoW, U.S. Army, or U.S. Air Force. NOTE: Education and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. Applicants must provide from MM/YYYY - MM/YYYY (e.g., 02/2015 - 03/2017 or Feb 2017 - Mar - 2017) dates and hours worked per week with description of your specialized experience on the resume. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement. COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS: Must possess or be eligible to retrain into AFSC 038F4, Force Support. DRIVER'S LICENSE: Must possess a valid state's driver's license.
