This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY NAVIGATOR (INSTRUCTOR), Position Description Number PDD2310000 and is part of the WY 153d Operations Support Squadron, Wyoming Air National Guard. This is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is required.
Job Description
AREAS OF CONSIDERATION: Referrals of qualified applicants will be issued as follows: Area 1: Permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) WY ANG employees assigned to the 153 OSS. Area 2: Permanent and indefinite Wyoming Air National Guard (ANG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming Air National Guard. Area 4: Current military members of the Wyoming Air National Guard. Area 6: Current military service members to include the US Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and other states' Air National Guard units. Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Air National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position TECHNICIAN INFO Type of Appointment: Permanent Tenure: Group 1 or 2 Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:30 pm FLSA: Exempt Telework: The duties of this position require primary physical presence. Situational teleworking may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Acceptance of this position does not in any way constitute a military promotion. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must possess experience which provided a working knowledge of the navigation systems and navigational instruments of the assigned airframe. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 36 months experience, education or training that required obtaining information on type of mission, weather, and intelligence data, and special instructions; experience preparing navigation flight plans; experience that provided a knowledge of proper readings and operations of navigational systems. Validated ability to test and inspect the operation of compasses, navigation systems, or radio and radar equipment; experience utilizing various navigational methods and aids to accomplish flying missions. Experience computing the effect of various factors during flight to establish present course and project balance of course and ability to train, evaluate and certify proficiency and competency of lower graded personnel. Validated completion of the necessary hours required for applicants' current airframe. (ex. 1000 hours total navigation time, which includes 200 hours' time in the C-130). AND Possess experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) and possess certification as a qualified Navigator Instructor NOTE: Minimum Requirements and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. Applicants must provide from MM/YYYY - MM/YYYY (e.g., 02/2015 - 03/2017 or Feb 2017 - Mar - 2017) dates and hours worked per week with description of your specialized experience on the resume. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement. COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS: Must possess 12M Mobility Combat Systems Officer. DRIVER'S LICENSE: Must possess a valid state's driver's license.
