THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a FINANCIAL MANAGER. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Chief Financial Officer for the Virgin Island Army National Guard. Establishes the methodology for an effective and broad system of financial control ensuring the maximum utilization of all financial resources. Supervises professional, technical, and administrative personnel engaged in multifunctional tasks.

Job Description

Military Grades: O2/1LT, O3/CPT, O4/MAJ GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must be certified at the next higher level before being eligible for that level and must have a minimum of one year on-the-job experience in the grade immediately below the next higher level. must have a validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must be certified at the next higher level before being eligible for that level and must have a minimum of one year on-the-job experience in the grade immediately below the next higher level. Must have at least 24 months of finance budget experiences and competencies that provided knowledge of financial National Guard principles and procedures. Must have experiences and training that demonstrate the competencies to follow directions, to read, retain, and understand a variety of instructions, regulations, policies and procedures. As a condition of continued employment in the GS-0505-13 position and dependent on the position's certification level and contingent, the employee must complete the higher financial management certification within 24 months of appointment to the position grade.
