Job Description

NOTE: All job seekers will be required to limit their resumes to 2 pages in length when applying for job opportunity announcements (JOAs) WHO CAN APPLY: GROUP I - In order to be eligible for this position you must be an Enlisted Members (E7/SFC - E9/SGM) or Warrant Officer (W1/WO1 - W3/CW3) currently employed (permanent) in the Virginia Army National Guard Military Technician Program. Military Grades: Enlisted Members (E7/SFC- E9/SGM) or Warrant Officers (W1/WO1 - W3/CW3) GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have experience serving as a full assistant to a supervisor who has responsibility for providing overall direction and coordination of subordinate work activities and functions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have at least 36 months of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the WS-09 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the WS grade indicated. This experience must include activities such as: Experience or training diagnosing, repairing, overhauling, and modifying more complex vehicles, equipment, and more complicated systems. Experience which has provided a thorough knowledge of diagnostic equipment. Experience applying independent judgment in determining methods and techniques required to solve unusually complex maintenance and repair problems. Experienced in testing, inspecting, and evaluating the work performed on vehicles, equipment and systems.
