Job Description

NOTE: Qualifications are based on breadth/level of experience. GROUP II - All qualified Virginia Air National Guard Male/Female Enlisted Member Enlisted Member (E7/SMSgt promotable - E8/SMSgt), regardless of employment status (Traditional, Military Technician or AGR). To be considered as a Group II applicant, proof of appointment/enlistment in the Virginia National Guard must be attached if the appointment/enlistment occurred within 60 days prior to, or during, the advertisement period. Group III - Individuals eligible for membership in the Virginia Air National Guard. Military Grades: Enlisted Personnel (E7/SMSgt promotable - E8/SMSgt) GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have experience or training which demonstrates that the candidate possesses the knowledge of the various aspects of disassembly, cleaning, lubricating, or assembling of aircraft parts, components, or subassemblies. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have at least 36 months of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the WS-12 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government? This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the WS grade indicated. This experience must include activities such as: Experience which required the review of work requirements and establishing priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations.
