Job Summary
This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command. As a Civilian Pay Technician you will serve as a Civilian Pay Technician for the United States Transportation Command's Headquarters Transportation Working Capital Fund (TWCF) (Revolving Fund) and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) (Appropriate Fund) Budgets, Operating and Capital budgets.
Job Description
You may qualify at the GS-08, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service: Utilizing financial regulations as a technical authority to resolve an extensive range of pay issues and problems. Resolving complex payroll actions using systems such as Automated Time and Attendance Production System (ATAAPS), Defense Enterprise Accounting and Management Systems (DEAMS), Job Order Cost Accounting System (JOCAS-II), Remedy Action Request System, Defense Civilian Payroll System (DCPS), etc. Interpreting civilian pay and leave regulations to provide advisory services to employees and supervisors Conducting reviews of financial records to ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines (such as Operations & Maintenance or Transportation Working Capital Funds). Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
