Job Summary
This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command. The incumbent will be responsible for to perform executive-level services and directly support the Commander, United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM). This position is demanding, high-visibility, and assists USTRANSCOM senior leadership in developing and communicating Command guidance for transportation and logistics issues and ensures recurring Command-sponsored events are successfully executed.
Job Description
You may qualify at the GS-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Providing oversight to the Commander's Action Group (CAG) personnel in planning, administering, evaluating, and improving 4-star sponsored programs, conferences, orientations, distinguished visitor events, and senior-leader engagements. Developing, and applying program strategy, goals, objectives, priorities, plans, programs, policies, procedures and activities. Directing, organizing, and carrying out high-priority engagements, special assignments, studies, and projects personally assigned by the Commander, Deputy Commander, or Commander's Action Group Chief. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
