Job Summary
The Office of the Clerk is seeking a highly qualified individual with excellent analytical and technical skills to serve as an ECF Case Administrator. The incumbent receives and processes new cases on appeal from the district court and administrative agencies and maintains the official record of case activity from opening to final disposition.
Job Description
High school graduate (or equivalent) and a minimum of one year of specialized experience. For the CL-24 grade, an associate's or bachelor's degree is highly preferred. For the CL-25 grade, a bachelor's degree is highly preferred. Specialized experience for this position is defined as progressively responsible clerical or administrative experience requiring the regular and recurring application of clerical procedures that demonstrate the ability to apply a body of rules, regulations, directives, or laws and involve the routine use of specialized terminology and automated software and equipment to perform word processing, data entry or report generation. PREFERRED SKILLS: Prior work or internship experience in a court, legal office, or government is preferable. Knowledge and experience working with the federal judiciary's CM/ECF (Case Management/Electronic Case Filing) system is highly desirable. The successful applicant should have good organizational and time management skills, oral and written communication skills, and proofreading skills. Good judgment and the ability to apply concepts to determine what action needs to be taken are essential.
