Job Summary

The Workplace Strategy & Design Management Division is responsible for planning and implementing programs for the management of real property. The Branch provides technical assistance on all real property activities and responsible for required coordination with the General Services Administration (GSA) and the lessors of the space occupied by USPTO. This is a term position not to exceed 2 years. This appointment may be extended without further competition to the maximum of 4 years.

You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. OPM Qualifications Standards are available at Miscellaneous Administration and Program Series 0301 Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, you must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to GS-12 in the Federal service: For this position, the next lower grade level is a GS-12. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience independently conducting surveys and site inspections related to construction and renovation projects; Experience planning and implementing projects to promote efficient use of space to include construction management, site organization and customer coordination; Experience serving as a Project Manager responsible for small-to-large projects from initiation to completion; and Experience preparing cost analysis to support budget projections for long-range space or expansion plans. Selective Placement Factor: Must currently possess a COR Level I certification. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
