Job Summary
This position is located in the Workplace Strategy and Design Management Division of the Office of Administrative Services, the functions of which are outlined in Agency Administrative Order AOO-1. The incumbent serves as Division Director of Workplace Strategy and Design Management, with broad authority and responsibility for organizing, directing, and evaluating the programs and activities of the Division.
Job Description
You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. You must meet all eligibility and qualifications requirements by the closing date of the job announcement. OPM Qualifications Standards are available at Support Services Administration Series 0342. Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, the next lower grade level is a GS-14. Specialized Experience Requirement - GS-15: Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience serving as a senior leader responsible for a real property or facilities management program spanning multiple functional areas such as lease administration, space utilization, building operations, construction, and environmental compliance, with accountability for program-wide results. Experience directing a program through subordinate supervisors with full responsibility for setting program policy, establishing long-range plans, and managing the program's budget and financial resources. Experience representing the organization at senior levels in negotiations or high-stakes discussions with external stakeholders such as OMB, GSA, contractors, and senior agency leadership on major space and facilities matters. Experience establishing space utilization metrics and conducting complex data analysis to guide executive leadership in strategic planning, forecasting, and resource allocation. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
