You will serve as a SECURITY GUARD in the FORCE PROTECTION DIVISION of NAVBASE CORONADO SEC DET.

Job Description

GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Authenticating identification for access to restricted areas; 2) Regulating pedestrian and vehicular traffic to maintain traffic flow and security operations; 3) Enforcing security measures required to protect personnel, materials, and property and advising supervisor on crime prevention matters; and 4) Performing private and commercial vehicle inspections and package inspections following prescribed procedures to ensure only authorized property is brought into or removed from facilities. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Screening and/or inspecting personal and commercial vehicles requesting installation access using detection devices; 2) Controlling personnel access by verifying identification/credentials; 3) Patrolling buildings or perimeters for suspicious activity; 4) Preparing reports of security incidents; and 5) Applying knowledge of current regulations and procedures to enforce compliance of all vehicles and persons entering naval installations to include contacting Security Forces when necessary.
