Job Summary

You will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER / ARCHITECT (CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER) in the Resident Officer in Charge of Construction (ROICC) of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

Job Description

In addition to the basic education requirements, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing professional engineering or architectural construction management services concerning planning, design, and construction projects; 2) Identifying and recommending technical solutions to design or structural problems encountered during the project; 3) Managing the contract lifecycle by identifying modification requirements, preparing independent government estimates (IGEs), and drafting technical statements of work; 4) Reviewing accident prevention plans for compliance with contract health and safety requirements; AND 5) Reviewing contract drawings and specifications with respect to constructability and compatibility with field conditions.
