Job Description
GS-13: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience performing or advising on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration. Experience performing a variety of functions such as formulation of budgets and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities, to include presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities; reviewing and evaluating budget requests; control and reporting of obligations and expenditures. Experience developing, determining, and interpreting budgetary policies and practices. Experience analyzing and recommending costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations; implementing legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets; implementing internal controls and providing advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization's programs and activities. Experience prioritizing work and schedules to assure effective and expeditious accomplishment of priority work without adverse effect on regular and recurring work. Experience improving production and quality of work. Experience assigning work to subordinates based on employee's capabilities, priorities and difficulty. Experience developing performance standards and evaluating employee performance. Experience providing technical and administrative oversight, advice and instruction.
