You will serve as an ACCOUNTANT in the FINANCE DEPARTMENT of SOUTHWEST REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CENTER.

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a Professional Accountant performing financial management, accounting analysis, and internal control testing for a Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness program. Examples of qualifying experience includes; (1) reconciling budgetary and proprietary accounts to trial balances to resolve abnormal balances and draft corrective action plans (CAPs); (2) validating Key Supporting Documentation (KSD) and responding to auditor data calls (e.g., IPA, Naval Audit Service, DoD/DON IG); and (3) collaborating with higher headquarters (such as CPF or DFAS) to implement financial process and policy improvements.
