You will serve as a CONTRACT SPECIALIST in the ACQUISITION SUPPORT DIRECTORATE (ASD) of NAVAL POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL.

Job Description

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Generate acquisition packages in accordance with the program/project requirements; 2) Resolve contract and procurement issues by determining alternate solutions to problems; 3) Conduct negotiations in the pre-award and post-award phases of contracting; and 4) Utilize contract and procurement systems (e.g., Standard Procurement System (SPS), Defense Acquisition Portal (DAP), Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS), Contracting Officer Representative Tracking (CORT) Tool, and System for Award Management (SAM)) in order to execute a contract.
