You will serve as an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Engineering Department of FWD DEPLOYED REG MAINT CTR DET ROTA.

Job Description

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Develop integrated test plans and schedules with project engineers, test site personnel, and other organizations involved in the shipboard test events to prove system integrity and sea trial readiness; 2) Interpret and apply ship overhaul and building specifications and requirements pertaining to design, maintenance, safety and operation of assigned equipment and systems; 3) Provide technical support to contractors' shipboard testing work, deliverables and integrated production schedule for compliance and quality; 4) Review Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) and Combat Systems test procedures before and after completion of testing and work certification; and 5) Use qualitative and quantitative techniques to develop and manage new or modified integrated test plans sufficient to serve as a resident expert on ship testing.
