Job Summary

This announcement is for two positions in the Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) Engineering Branch supporting the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Joint Program Office. The first position is to serve as the JSF Air Vehicle PHM Engineer. The other position is to serve as the Lead JSF R&M Engineer. In either position, you will serve as a General Engineer in the Systems Engineering Department, Reliability and Maintainability Engineering Branch of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Job Description

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09/11) grade level or pay band (DP-03) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Providing authoritative input and advice on all engineering and technical issues while ensuring engineering requirements are met; (2) Developing project-planning objectives for engineering development of current and long range programs; (3) Delivering optimized technical solutions that are balanced to achieve required technical performance within cost, schedule, and technology constraints; (4) Functioning as a project lead, program manager, team lead, or member of an integrated team/group providing technical guidance to a technical workforce and meeting customer requirements for products and/or services; and (5) Managing a medium scale/scope or segments of a project or program applying tools such as risk management, configuration/data management, trade-off analysis, trade studies, technical performance measurement, technical reviews, modeling & simulation, or earned value management.
