You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN/INFOSEC) in the Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography Center of FLT NUMER OCEANGPHY METEO CTR.

Job Description

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience utilizing advanced Linux systems administration, including the configuration and management of large-scale clustered environments or high-performance computing (HPC) architectures. Experience demonstrating proficiency in scripting languages (such as Python, Bash, or C/C++) to automate administrative tasks and integrate complex software into operational systems. Experience in lifecycle management and system design to evaluate requirements and implement technical modifications. Furthermore, they must have practical, hands-on experience applying Information Assurance (IA) principles, including conducting vulnerability assessments, hardening systems, and supporting formal security accreditation processes. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
