Job Summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY NUCLEAR ENGINEER in the NUCLEAR REFUELING DIVISION, NUCLEAR ENGINEERING and PLANNING DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Job Description

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience reviewing work planned, in progress, and completed to ensure integration into Shipyard work the most recent and desirable features of nuclear refueling technology and science. Experience with the concepts, principles, theories, and application of nuclear technologies including research, design, construction, testing, operation, and maintenance of nuclear facilities and associated systems. Experience assigning work to staff to ensure timely completion and quality of work and resolves conflicts and overlapping functions between subordinates and other groups.
