Job Summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER in the ASSISTANT PORT ENG BRANCH (N75A) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.

Job Description

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience providing oversight and management of ship life-cycle maintenance and the material readiness program. Experience planning the work of junior engineers, determining work priorities, and preparing schedules based on the completion of work. Experience developing performance standards, identifying and arranging developmental training needs for junior engineers. Experience identifying and resolving engineering problems as it pertains to ship life-cycle management. Experience preparing technical requirements and costs estimates for contract modifications and change order work, and assisting the Contracting Officer in negotiations, disputes and claims.
