Job Summary
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SERVICE NUCLEAR INTERNAL SHOP MANAGER in the Service Shop (990) Production Resources Department Manager (901) Production Resources Department (900) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Job Description
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying industry-standard principles, tools, and methodologies to schedule, coordinate, and evaluate resource allocation and technical performance. Experience determining and providing resolution of operational and maintenance problems with shipyard and ship's personnel. Experience in nuclear production trade work and technical methods, procedures, materials and processes associated with the repair and overhaul of complex Navy vessels. Experience interpreting Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Federal/State environmental regulations and local instructions. Experience investigating and analyzing practices and problems to initiate effective improvements and solutions. Experience managing the planning, scheduling, execution, and control of production processes and resource allocation within maintenance operations to ensure optimal efficiency and support. Experience delivering and/or drafting clear, convincing presentations and effectively promoting varied ideas-including sensitive or controversial topics-to diverse audiences while actively clarifying information to ensure alignment.
