Job Summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY NUCLEAR ENGINEER in the Fluid Systems and Mechanical Engineering Division (Code 2320) of the Nuclear Engineering and Planning Department (Code 2300) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Job Description

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience performing overhaul and maintenance of reactor plant components including valves, piping, and heat exchangers. Experience applying knowledge of the SUBSAFE program in support of reactor plant maintenance and operations. Experience serving as a technical authority on reactor plant systems and understanding engineering concepts including heat transfer and steam generation. Experience performing project management functions and assigning tasks to personnel. Experience working with production shops to resolve shipboard deficiencies.
