Job Summary
This position is located in the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), Executive Office for Immigration Review, U. S. Department of Justice. The Executive Officer advises Board leadership and directs administrative programs involving planning, budgeting, staffing, contracts, records, and organizational performance. This is a Schedule Policy/Career Excepted Service position; additional positions may be filled from this announcement within 90 days of certificate issuance.
Job Description
In order to qualify for the Executive Officer position, you must meet the following minimum qualifications: FOR THE GS-15 LEVEL: Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks, full-time) of specialized work experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service (or comparable experience outside the Federal service), performing 4 or more of the following duties: Directing administrative programs that support organizational operations and mission requirements; Advising senior leaders on sensitive management issues and recommending improvements to organizational performance; Evaluating program data to identify operational problems and recommend corrective actions; Managing workforce planning and staffing activities for a large or complex organization; and Representing an organization with senior officials and external stakeholders on significant program matters.
