Job Summary

You will serve as an IT Specialist (SYSADMIN) in the Business Operations Branch; Airborne Electronic Attack Systems Division; Electromagnetic Spectrum Warfare Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. NT-05 is equivalent to GS-13/14. This position is salary capped at GS-13 Step 10 (currently $138,370). Job Description

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing Information Technology work installing, configuring, or updating operating systems or software for information systems or networks. Examples of specialized experience may include: managing standalone and networked systems, test stations, and test equipment, and video teleconference (VTC) systems and ensuring they operate properly; creating, managing, and deleting user accounts, groups, and permissions to control access to system resources and ensure security; implementing and maintaining security measures like firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems to protect systems from unauthorized access and threats; establishing and managing backup and recovery procedures to prevent data loss; diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and networking issues; responding to service outages and providing technical support to users; managing hardware components, including installation and replacement, and overseeing software updates and patching; creating and maintaining documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
