Job Summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION SAFETY MANAGER in the PRODUCTION PROCESS OFFICE (Code 900P), PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. ***TEMPORARY PROMOTION NOT TO EXCEED 1 YEAR AND MAY BECOME PERMANENT without further competition***

Job Description

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: * Experience with the concepts, principles, and practices of naval shipyard repair including the overhaul of complex nuclear ships and submarines. * Experience managing a large-scale program through development, planning, and implementation phases involving complex coordination of multiple projects. * Experience evaluating training program execution and results as it relates to the processes used and safe execution of production work. * Experience with the safe execution of all production work in the shipyard to include quality control, work execution, job planning, and performance monitoring. * Experience supporting the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Program and making sure all applicable laws and regulations are followed.
