You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FIREFIGHTER (BLS/HAZMAT TECH) in the NAVY FIRE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES DEPARTMENT of NAS PENSACOLA.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning and assigning work to be accomplished by subordinates based on priorities and deadlines;2) Performing structural firefighting duties for a variety of facilities that may include research and/or large industrial complexes;3) Performing pre-fire planning by physically going through structures to become familiar with the layout, fire hazards, and location of fixed fire protection systems;4) Assisting in the development of special protective services for structures imposing extreme hazards;5) Operating a wide variety of firefighting equipment. ***This position requires the incumbent to possess the following certifications: Airport Firefighter, Firefighter I & II, Apparatus Driver-Operator for Pumper, Airport Rescue Firefighting (ARFF) and Aerial vehicles, HAZMAT Tech Level, Fire Officer II, Fire Inspector I, Fire Instructor I, and Hazardous Materials Incident Command levels, National Registry Emergency Medical Technician - Basic Life Support (NREMT-B). These certifications must have been awarded by DoD, IFSAC or ProBoard to meet the requirement.
