You will serve as a SECRETARY (OA) in the FLEET READINESS of NAVAL STATION.

Job Description

This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Receiving phone calls, greeting visitors, and responding to routine requests for information; 2) Prioritizing requests for information and status inquiries to ensure office goals are met; 3) Maintaining an office calendar, scheduling appointments, and arranging meetings for executives and superiors while avoiding conflicts; 4) Preparing correspondence using correct grammar, spelling, capitalization, format, and punctuation in compliance with established procedures and regulations; and 5) Utilizing appropriate social etiquette and protocol when interacting with high-ranking officials and VIPs.
