You will serve as a SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST in the SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH OFFICE of NAVAL AIR WEAPONS STATION CHINA LAKE.

Job Description

For the GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Inspecting the work environment for hazardous operational conditions; 2) Identifying the origin, cause and contributing elements of mishaps and hazardous conditions occurring in the work environment; 3) Presenting safety and mishap prevention training to employees; and 4) Advising workers on safety requirements, potential accident causing situations and methods for preventing accidents. For the GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Identifying and resolving hazardous operational conditions in the work environment; 2) Recording the circumstances of accidents in the workplace (e.g. witness statements, description of property damage, extent of injuries); and 3) Presenting safety and mishap prevention training to employees.
