Job Description

I have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Evaluate, monitor, and report on project compliance with U.S. Navy maintenance and modernization policies to ensure the highest degree of operational readiness of U.S. Navy assets. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate external, shipboard requirements and milestones in project plan. Negotiate with external stakeholders to obtain resources and services to execute project requirements. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Deliver regular project-related briefs and reports for internal and external stakeholders, including ship's commanding officers, senior military personnel, civilian management, and fleet commanders. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Conduct daily shipboard safety inspections and make on-the-spot recommendations to correct unsatisfactory and unsafe conditions. NO-04 In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-09 or pay band NO-03 in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: managing and delegating resources in executing complex projects, providing project management and installation skills for delivering integrated C4ISR products and capabilities onboard U.S. Navy surface and subsurface units. Identifying potential problems and making recommendations. NO- 05 In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12 or pay band NO-04 in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Specialized experience must demonstrate managing and delegating resources in executing complex projects, providing project management and installation skills for delivering integrated C4ISR products and capabilities onboard U.S. Navy surface and subsurface units. Identifying and resolving potential problems. Leading and executing multiple large complex projects.
