You will serve as a Materials Handler in the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER JACKSONVILLE.
Job Description

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMALSUPERVISION. An example of the screen out element is: I have the ability to and have performed a full range of Material Handler tasks including: Stores, stacks and rotates materials under the first in first out (FIFO) concept using common hand tools and materials handling equipment up to 10,000 pounds capacity; Scans bar codes and/or inputs receipt information into automated record systems; Matches, checks, and compares data to be re-warehoused and consolidation instruments with materials to be moved and consolidated against materials already in storage locations; Ensures materials data is correct on materials to be stored against currently stored materials in the warehouse locations; Corrects discrepancies or ensures corrective action is taken; Transports or forwards materials from the receiving areas to storage locations; Annotates and signs receiving and other control documents, verifying items listed match items received.
