You will serve as a INSTRUMENT MECHANIC in the PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT, ELECTRICAL SHOP of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION - Tests and troubleshoots to analyze, repair and maintain physical/dimensional/ optical/electromechanical instrument systems. - Repairs, overhauls and calibrates unusually complex instruments and equipment. - Uses a variety of trade tools, measurement devices and test equipment to adapt them to special applications. - Traces and corrects malfunctions in unusually complex equipment. - Read and interpret complex multiview drawing, sketches, wiring diagrams, and other technical materials.
