You will serve as a PAINTER SUPERVISOR I in the Preservation Shop (Code 970), Production Resources Department Manager (Code 901), Production Resources Department (Code 900) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE Planning, prioritizing and coordinating work involving multiple trades in accordance with technical and schedule requirements. Applying knowledge of preservation materials, techniques, equipment, ships layout and compartmentation as well as shop processes to accomplish production work. Applying knowledge of all accepted surface preparation, coating methods, and techniques such as mixing and application of modern exotic paints and coatings. Reading, interpreting, and correctly following complex instructions, drawing, specifications, engineering standard, and manufactures' requirements. Understanding trade terms and knowing trade measurements of critical coatings.
