Job Summary

You will serve as a Combat Survivability Engineer in support of the F-35 Lightning II Joint Program Office (JPO) leading the development and support of system survivability technologies for the fifth-generation joint strike fighter (JSF) for the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, international partners and foreign military sales customers. You will be a General Engineer in the Systems Engineering Department, Combat Survivability Division of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Job Description

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09/11) grade level or pay band (DP-03) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Developing flight and chamber test objectives while planning and coordinating test and simulation events; (2) Managing technical projects to improve mission performance and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of adversary threat capabilities and their effects on aircraft; (3) Coordinating with Science and Technology (S&T) development offices to ensure aircraft requirements are communicated correctly and assisting in transfer of technology onto the aircraft; (4) Working with radio frequency and infrared countermeasure development organizations across federal agencies to improve survivability and mission effectiveness; and (5) Providing radio frequency and infrared survivability data and expertise to outside organizations such as tactics developers and modeling & simulation organizations.
