Job Summary
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY AEROSPACE ENGINEER in the F/A-18 FLEET SUPPORT TEAM, STRUCTURES ENGINEERING DIVISION, PRODUCTION LINE SUPPORT BRANCH of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
Job Description
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying knowledge of the principles and practices of aircraft structures engineering with expertise gained in progressive engineering experience in aerospace structures or a related engineering environment; 2) Applying knowledge of naval aircraft structural design, airframe certification, aircraft loading, and maintenance/support requirements; 3) Making critical decisions on problems/concerns which impact major aircraft structures engineering functions and systems; 4) Managing a functional-matrix organizational unit in the efficient and effective allocation of its resources to meet both Competency requirements and Team objectives; 5) Ability to think and speak clearly, present ideas (both orally and in writing), and the ability to meet and effectively negotiate with various program managers; 6) Ability to apply creative thinking and experienced judgment to solve a variety of highly complex technical problems; and 7) Applying knowledge of personnel/position management/EEO regulations, policies, practices and human relations.
