Job Summary
You will serve as a SUBMARINE PRODUCTION MANAGER in the Structural Shop (Code 920), Production Resources Department Manager (Code 901), Production Resources Department (Code 900) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Job Description
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience managing cost, schedule, and performance for significant work packages or smaller projects. Experience serving as a lead on major projects. Experience managing other supervisors in a General Foreman/Zone Manager Role. Experience reviewing performance appraisals, conflict resolution, and managing a multi-trade or multi-shift workforce. Experience applying knowledge of shipyard production processes, skilled trades work, and quality control within a ship repair environment. Experience identifying training needs for a team and coordinating that training and developing training plans or materials.
