You will serve as an Aircraft Mechanic Leader in the Aviation Maintenance/Material Department of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION: (1) Possessing knowledge and experience with Planned Maintenance Interval (PMI), In-Service Repair (ISR), and Modification processes and procedures; (2) Demonstrating in-depth knowledge of the operating principles, functions, and technical orientation of aircraft mechanical, hydraulic, pneudraulic, environmental systems, subsystems, accessories, and components; (3) Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, drawings, diagrams, engineering specifications, technical instructions, aircraft/engine logbooks, and technical directives; (4) Providing technical advice and recommendations to production, support organizations, and customers regarding the examination and evaluation results; and (5) Diagnosing trouble revealed by inspections and tests along with determing the extent of adjustment and performing necessary repairs.
