You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALSYT of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.

Job Description

GS/11: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: 1. Knowledge of Working Capital Fund financial principles, particularly its reliance on sales to replenish Obligational Authority. 2. Knowledge of key financial and supply-related regulations used to enforce funding restrictions and processing deadlines and determine when intervention is necessary to resolve discrepancies. 3. Ability to analyze and interpret complex data within Navy ERP, or other external sites and/or systems, to include MILSTRIP statuses and other financial transactions. 4. Experience utilizing Open Obligation reports to monitor, analyze, and correct complex accounting transactions, ensuring financial obligations are accurately tracked and completed. 5. Skill in performing root cause analysis on financial and supply system discrepancies to resolve issues in an expedited manner and prevent future recurrence. GS/12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level(GS-11)or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector and skill applying principles, concepts and practices of financial management: 1. Demonstrated ability in the analysis and modification of information within a financial management system; experience utilizing reports to monitor, analyze, and correct complex accounting transactions, ensuring financial obligations are accurately tracked, completed, and adjusted for changes in funding requirements. 2. Experience overseeing complex research, analysis and interpretation of a variety of financial/supply databases to manage funds for an organization; ability to analyze and interpret complex data and/or systems. 3. Subject matter expert coordinating with team members and senior management to collect, analyze, or interpret financial/supply information. 4. Leading and training team members in selection and application of appropriate problem-solving methods in financial management systems. 5. Demonstrated experience providing leadership and guidance to team members on specific work methods and financial management procedures. Demonstrated skills in the performance of root cause analysis on financial and supply system discrepancies to resolve issues in an expedited manner and development of controls to prevent future recurrence.
