Job Summary

You will serve as a Supervisory Aerospace Engineer in the Mechanical Subsystems Division within the F/A-18 & EA-18G Fleet Support Team (FST) at FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.

Job Description

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing senior-level expertise of acquisition and sustainment, in-service engineering, design and development, and life-cycle support for complex Air Vehicle systems and subsystems; 2) Overseeing multi-disciplinary teams while developing and managing budgets, forecasting resource requirements, and executing complex engineering projects to meet critical goals and major acquisition milestones; and 3) Providing authoritative engineering guidance by effectively communicating complex engineering and programmatic information to diverse audiences at all levels, mentoring and guiding engineers, presenting decisive briefings and collaborating on solutions with senior executive leadership and industry partners.
