Job Summary

You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the MECHANICAL SHOP, PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Job Description

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience executing the weekly allocation and assignment of all departmental personnel to specific work requirements. Experience balancing competing demands including project milestones, training requirements, employee availability, and labor-union agreements to ensure equitable and effective workload distribution. Experience conducting comprehensive resource planning, analyzing department workload requirements against available personnel, skills, and equipment assets. Experience evaluating staffing needs, reviews long-range workload forecasts, and coordinates with Human Resources to execute recruitment and selection actions. Experience overseeing employee training, ensuring personnel attend mandatory training, obtain required certifications, maintain medical qualifications, and receive appropriate on-the-job training to perform work safely and effectively.
