Job Summary
You will serve as a ELECTRIAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Electrical/Electronic Engineering and Planning Division (270), Office of the Chief Engineer (Code 240), Engineering and Planning Department (Code 200), of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Job Description
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience providing design experience and technical working knowledge of engineering aspects unique to nuclear powered aircraft carriers and nuclear submarines. Experience applying electrical engineering concepts and principles applicable to conventional projects. Experience evaluating and applying the latest development and techniques in solving some problems not readily treatable by traditional or accepted methods. Experience providing system and component installation or repair information, ensuring specification compliance, and investigating and analyzing any variety of electrical problems and providing corrective action recommendations.
