Job Summary
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENGINEER for the Utilities Management Division within the Shore Department in the NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Command (NAVFAC EXWC) Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-04 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15. This position has a control point equivalent to the GS-14, Step-10.
Job Description
This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: You will be required to obtain and maintain a current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) from any state, the District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico. Note: you must provide a copy of your current registration with your application. A copy of a wall certificate that does not show current registration status will not serve to verify you meet this requirement. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-03 OR GS-12 through GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) performing administrative and supervisory duties; 2) directing the technical work of engineers; 3) managing financial resources for various types of funding (e.g. O&M, Procurement, RDT&E, etc.); 4) interpreting regulations and policies to execute projects or implement programs; and (5) managing utilities or infrastructure projects.
