Job Summary

You will serve as an Engineering Technician (Mechanical) in the Auxiliary Systems (TRF-322) Shop 38A, Mechanical Division (TRF-320), Repair Department (TRF-300) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.

Job Description

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of SPECIALIZED experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Submarine Propulsion Maintenance: Hands-on experience troubleshooting, overhauling, and repairing submarine main propulsion shafting, steam systems, and seawater components. Rapid Diagnostics & Testing: Experience analyzing material deficiencies and executing diagnostic test plans under tight operational timelines, such as active submarine refit periods. Design & Lifecycle Input: Experience utilizing OHIO Class maintenance history to provide design and configuration recommendations for new submarine classes (e.g., COLUMBIA Class). Technical Guidance & Training: Experience drafting formal technical reports, developing I-level repair procedures, and providing On-the-Job Training (OJT) to junior technicians.
